How to transfer Airtime for all networks MTN, Airtel, GLO and Etisalat

If you have been having difficulties in transferring airtime from one network to the other, do not worry any longer, you are in the right place. No matter the network you want to transfer from be it MTN, Airtel, Glo, and Etisalat.

You will agree with me that there are crucial times in which we can be out of airtime and we need someone to send airtime to us either friends or family. It is even possible that we have airtime but some we know has an excess of it. Apart from that, you can decide that you want to compensate or do a giveaway for someone using airtime. Whatever the case is, we need to make a transfer of the airtime from one SIM card to another and that can only be done when we use the right code.

Some people think you can only transfer airtime between two SIMS of the same network, but the truth is you can also transfer to another SIM of a different network. How can this be possible? Simply follow the steps I will be showing you below:

How To Transfer Airtime From MTN To Other Networks

The majority of telecom subscribers in Nigeria are MTN users, and according to the data from Statista, MTN has about 39.5 percent share of mobile wireless subscribers in Nigeria as of March 2021. This means there may be a need for people to want to transfer airtime to other users. MTN has also made it easy for its users to send airtime to other networks. However, there are some limitations put in place by MTN to control the process:

  • The daily transfer limit per day is N10, 000
  • N5, 000 per single transaction
  • No kobo unit when transferring, it must be in Naira e.g.  Use N500 instead of N500.30
  • The minimum amount you can transfer is N50

Now let’s process to the step in transferring the MTN airtime

The first thing you need to do is set your transfer pin. By default, you will be given 0000 as your pin, but you need to create a new pin which, must be 4 digits. In creating your new PIN, ensure that it is not the type that can easily be guessed by fraudsters. For example, you can use 9627 instead of 1234. Also, ensure that you don’t forget the PIN or better still, write it somewhere so that you can always get back to it when you forget.

Now that you know the PIN you want to use, the next step is to send the new PIN to 777 using this format: ; “default pin (space) new pin (space) new pin” for example,” 0000 9627 9627”, and then send it to 777 thereafter wait for confirmation.

The other option you can use is to dial *600*default pin*new pin*new pin# for example *600*0000*9627*9627#, where 9627 is your new pin.

Immediately after sending it, you will receive a message from MTMN notifying you about the successful PIN change. This means you can now transfer airtime to other networks.

To send airtime simply dial *600* recipient phone number * amount of airtime * your transfer PIN#. For example *600*0813123456*500*9627#.

How To Transfer Airtime From Airtel To Other Networks

Know as Airtel Me2U, transferring airtime from Airtel to other networks follows a similar process we shared above. The default PIN given to you by Airtel is 1234 and they expect you to change it to a new PIN. This toe around you send the message to 432, see below to see how the process goes:

Send “PIN [space] 1234 [space]New PIN” to 432 eg. PIN 1234 4373. This simply means you want to change the default pin which is 1234 to 4373.

To transfer airtime from Airtel to other networks, send an SMS command using this format: 2u [space]Airtel Number [space] Amount [space] PIN to 432. Let’s say that you want to transfer N800 worth of airtime to 08024444333, SMS 2u 08024444333 800 4373 to 432, where 4373 is your new PIN. If the transfer is successful, the recipient will receive a message to that effect while your account will also be deducted.

How To Transfer Airtime From Etisalat to other networks

To transfer airtime from Etisalat to other networks is straightforward just as the first two we looked at.

The default Etisalat transfer PIN is 0000. However, you need to change it to a more complex, dial:

*247*0000*New PIN# then Send/Ok. For example, to change your PIN to 8798, input

*247*0000*8798# and Send.

After setting up your new PIN, you can now transfer Airtime to any network of your choice

The easiest way you can transfer credit on Etisalat is to use the USSD code.

*223*PIN*Amount*Phone Number#. To transfer N1000, for example, to subscriber 0809 666 7777, simply dial *223*2345*250*08096667777# and press.

Note that for it to work, you must have at least a 10 Naira balance remaining after deducting the amount you wish to transfer.

How To Transfer Airtime On GLO to other Networks

Globacom Nigeria is part of the top players among the telecoms in Nigeria so it is important to mention them also in this article. The GLO transfer service is called GLO EasyShare subscription bundle.

Unlike the other telecom services, GLO’s transfer PIN is different because instead of 4 digits which other telecom used, it uses 5 digits.

To activate GLO EasyShare , first, change your default PIN which is 00000 to a new PIN you want to be used to make the transfer, and ensure it’s something you can remember but not too easy to guess either. So simply dial on your phone

*132*00000*New PIN *New PIN#.

So let’s say you want to use ‘59887’ as PIN, dial

*132*00000*59887*59887#. You will receive a notification asking you to confirm the PIN. To accept, press 1, or press 2 to cancel.

If you press 1, GLO will inform you that your password has been changed successfully. You can now begin to transfer airtime.

To transfer airtime, use the USSD code as follows:

*131*GLO Number*Airtime Amount*PIN# Send. For example, to send N800 to subscriber 08055666666, input *131*08055666666*800*59887# and press send, assuming your password is 59887.

How to get paid on YouTube

YouTube is one of the many ways by which you can make money online. There are lots of people who are getting paid on YouTube, these people are called YouTubers or Vloggers. Before you can start earning YouTube, you must first have a YouTube channel where you constantly upload videos. For details on how to create and start a YouTube channel from the scratch, check here.

Video upload could be on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, but just ensure that you choose a pattern that works best for you and stick to it. You must also be aware that you must not use any copyrighted property on your channel without exclusive authorization from the owner. Such property could be video, audio, image, etc.

When you use such property without authorization and the copyright owner files a report against you, YouTube might give you a strike depending on the type of complaint the copyright owner gave, and once you have up to 3 strikes, YouTube will close your YouTube. Not all copyright claim lead to strikes, but in such a case, the copyright owner will claim any revenue made from the advert played on such video.

This is why you should be as original as possible with any video that you would upload on your channel.

Now that we know some information about starting a YouTube channel, lets now dive into how we can monetize the channel.

1. Apply for the YouTube Partner Program

You can earn directly by partnering with YouTube. This is how the majority of YouTubers make their money from YouTube. For you to approve you as their partner, there are certain requirements you must meet, and these include:

  • Your video must have at least 4,000 valid public watch hours in the past 12 months.
  • Your channel must have at least 1,000 subscribers
  • You must be living in an eligible area
  • Your channel must follow all YouTube’s monetization policies
  • You must have a linked Google AdSense account.

Getting the viewing-hours threshold can look impossible if you are just starting, but you should not be discouraged. Even if you are getting less than 10 views on your videos in your first few weeks, that should tell you that your videos are getting views and it’s a matter of time before you start getting views in thousands.

You must make sure that your videos are high-quality and you must also put every necessary effort into it as well.

Some of those that watch your videos will subscribe to your channel once they see that they can always learn one or two things from your channel. However, the best way to get subscribers if you are just starting is to first ask your friends and family to subscribe, and also ensure that at the intro or outro of your videos, you request that your viewers subscribe.

Once you meet the stated requirements, you can then proceed to apply for the partner program by clicking on your profile and navigating to the “monetization” section.

2. Connect to Google AdSense

In order for your channel to get approved as a YouTube partner, you will need to connect your channel to Google AdSense, which is the company’s advertising system. Advertisers pay Google to bid for space on your channel using AdSense depending on your audience, relevant keywords, and the video topic.

YouTube will pay you based on the number of people that click or watch an ad on your video. Although you must know that ads don’t play on your videos each time someone plays your video so this means that not all views will bring money for you. You must also be aware that YouTube takes a cut of the ad revenue for tax.

You will be paid when your balance gets to $100. This is why you must always work at growing your channel so you can have a large audience because the more views you have, the more money you make.

3. Check out YouTube Premium

YouTube Premium is another way partners can make money on YouTube. How this works is that you make your videos available on YouTube Premium, which is the ad-free subscription service offered by YouTube. You will be paid from the revenue made from membership fees depending on how much Premium members view your videos.

4. Use product placement and video sponsorship

Some companies that are interested in your videos can contact you majorly because your channel promotes content that is related to what they offer. They will pay you to promote their products to your audience.

If you have a sponsored product in a video, ensure that you notify YouTube by ticking on “video contains paid promotion” before you upload the video, you will find this in the advanced settings of your video manager.

5. Become an affiliate partner

Earning through an affiliate program is a good option for you if you have subscribers that are loyal to your channel.

If your audience trust you enough, you can encourage them to visit some affiliates’ sites to carry out certain actions, most often, it requires them to buy certain products and you will be paid a certain commission out of the amount they paid.

You can also on your own reach out to some affiliates sites like ShareASale, ClickBank, and CJ Affiliate to sell their products to your audience. In all you do, ensure that you protect your image, this means that whichever affiliate product you will e recommending, must be verified and legit also.

6. Sell personal products or services to viewers

YouTube can be a place to promote your personal product or service. If you have a product or service you would like to promote, YouTube can be a good platform to do that. It is advisable that whatever product or service you want to promote is related to your videos. Take for instance, a channel that is into make-up can decide to promote and sell make-up kits to viewers. You can also create ebooks or videos on “How-to” and since you are a YouTuber, creating videos will come pretty easier.
